The way that our website collects and uses the data of its visitors

Information we gather

We also collect information to measure the length of time users spend per session on our website, and page interaction information. We do this to find out what products are more attractive than others so that we can constantly improve our product range.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve added to the wishlist, and we’ll use this to show you and other users your favourite products, and to create targeted email campaigns.
  • We’ll keep track of the wishlists you create, and make them visible to the store’s staff.
  • We’ll also use cookies to keep track of wishlist contents while you’re browsing our site.
  • Other Wishlist details, such as date of product addition, name and privacy settings of your wishlists.

Our team members have access to this information to offer you better deals for the products you love.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, email address, phone number, payment details and optional account information like username and password.

What we track, collect and store

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, to show you products you’ve recently viewed.
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order.

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access the above information.

Entering your Email Address

If you buy a product or sign-up to our mailing list then we will collect and store your email address and other personal identifiable information.
If you do not want us to store your email address on our mailing list, please contact us with your email address and we will remove it from our database.

If you make a purchase from this website we will collect personal information such as your email address, home address and delivery address as part of the functional working of our business.
Since we use PayPal this information is available through PayPal even when we remove that information from our own records and is outside of our control.

Your personal information which we collect as part of the process of running this website will be used only for the above reasons.

Account set up

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We also store order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Legal requirements

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information. I.e. until we are not legally required to continue to keep it and for Industry regulatory disclosure requirements. For example, we will store order information for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping address.

Gravatar

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. For more information please see the Gravatar service Privacy Policy.
If you are using Gravatar then after approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Leaving Comments

We store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).
Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Third Parties – what we share with others

We share information with third parties who help us provide our services and process your orders.

To process your order we use third party printers who will receive your delivery address as part of the order. This part of the process is unavoidable, and is required to ship your item. Your name, address and order details are also shared with shipping providers in order to ship or send your order.

User information is also shared with payment gateways (Example: PayPal). 

Why do we collect your personal information: We collect your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To operate our services
  • To give you ongoing customer assistance and support

  • To operate our mailing list – if you have signed up

We store necessary personal information on our computer and in our email as and when required to conduct our business and to comply with Industry regulatory disclosure requirements.
We view statistical information through a web application called Google Analytics.

Your information is also stored because you used this website to order your goods and that your information was then transferred to PayPal as part of the transaction in order to pay for your goods.

Storing personal data or sharing data with PayPal

We do not collect or store any information such as credit card numbers etc. as we accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, so your personal information, payment preferences, and all further details are all collected by PayPal as part of the order process. This includes information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

PayPal will collect and store information about you according to their Privacy Policy, therefore we store personal data and share personal data with PayPal.

Our means of communication

We will communicate with you through email and you can communicate with us through our contact form.

Once communication has been established we will happily phone you or give you our phone number in order to resolve any issues. We will store your phone number for further communication where applicable.

We will communicate with you over reviews that you have made on our products, comments you have made on our blog and we will send you information about new products, competitions and offers through our mailing list should you have signed up to it.

We will also contact you by email regarding your order or delivery information.

We will only contact you if it is necessary to process your order, unless you have signed up to our mailing list and wish to have offers, competitions and new product information sent to your email address.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfil orders, process refunds and support you. Both Administrators and Shop Managers can access this information above.

Cookies and tracking tools

Our website tracks personal information through the use of cookies and although this information is not the type of information that will personally identify you and your browsing habits it will be used in order to allow us to improve our website usability, products that we offer, and the success of our advertising.
We also collect statistical information about engagement on our website. In other words, how long people have spent on our website, what they looked at and how they got there.
